Get ready to trade the samba drums of Rio for the stunning shores of Largs! This summer, we are celebrating the ultimate World Cup clash when Scotland faces Brazil in Miami on June 24th.
You don’t need a plane ticket to soak up the atmosphere. Starting June 13th, we are bringing the sights, sounds, and flavors of Brazil straight to the Largs seafront.
Kick off the festival with live samba bands playing along the promenade, and spend the next four weeks exploring an incredible, exclusive Brazilian food and drink trail across your favorite local spots.

Largs and Brazil share a historic bond spanning over a century. Charles Miller, the “Father of Football” in Brazil, was the son of a man from neighboring Fairlie. This connection remains visible today through the Brazilian graffiti art adorning Kelburn Castle and the Largs-designed “Spirit of Brazil” tartan, created by local student and Miller relative, Indie Menzies. Samba on the Seafront celebrates this unique, enduring friendship between our coastal town and the vibrant culture of South America.
